Bike lane sa QC pinaigting

Pinaigting pa ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City ang paglalagay ng mga bike lane sa mga footbridge at underpass.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, bahagi ito ng pagpapaigting ng bike facilities sa lungsod.

Puspusan aniya ang ginagawa ngayon ng Department of Public Order and Safety – Green Transport Office para makumpleto ang 93-kilometer bike lane network.

Sa ngayon, limang crossings na ang nalagyan ng bike ramps. Ito ay ang QMC underpass at footbridges sa kahabaan ng Commonwealth Avenue (Philcoa, UP AIT), Quezon Avenue (NAPWC), at Katipunan Avenue (UP Town Center).

Apatnapung footbridge sa lungsod ang target na malagyan ng bike ramps.

Maglalagay din ang lokal na pamahalaan ng concrete plant box barriers para sa mas maganda at ligtas na mga bike lanes.

“Our vision is to make Quezon City bike-friendly and eco-friendly with accessible and safe facilities for bikers and pedestrians, that is why we keep on implementing projects to improve our bike lane network,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Hinikayat din ni Belmonte ang mga residente na magbisikleta para maging eco-friendly ang pagbiyahe.
