Patay ang isang construction worker habang sugatan ang 10 iba pa matapos bumagsak ang isang construction site sa Barangay Balingasa, Quezon City.
“The Quezon City Government sincerely regrets the unfortunate incident that occurred at around 9 a.m. at a construction site in Barangay Balingasa, Quezon City,” pahayag ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Isinugod na sa pagamutan ang 10 sugatan.
Agad ding naman nakalabas ng ospital ang lima matapos malapatan ng lunas.
“While the private contractor has already extended assistance to its workers, the city government has ordered concerned city offices to assist the family of the deceased and the injured victims,” pahayag ni Belmonte.
Sa ngayon, may ginagawa nang imbestigasyon ang pulisya kaugnay sa naganap na insidente.
“The City Architect and Infrastructure Committee of the city government have extensively inspected the site and its surroundings. A thorough investigation is underway to determine if there were lapses in the observance of standard construction procedures, and to recommend measures to ensure that such untoward incidents will not happen again in the future,” pahayag ni Belmonte.
