PDP-Laban naghalal ng mga bagong opisyal

Nagdaos ng national assembly ang Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP -Laban) at nahalal ang mga bagong opisyal ng partido.

 

Napili si Palawan Rep. Jose Alvarez bilang kapalit ni dating Energy Sec. Alfonso Cusi sa posisyon na pangulo ng partido.

 

Nanatili naman chairman ng partido si dating Pangulong Duterte.

 

Idinaos ang national assembly na may temang ’40 Years of Enlightened Nationalism’ kasabay nang pagdiriwang ng ika-40 anibersaryo ng PDP-Laban.

 

Sa kanyang mensahe, sinabi ni Duterte na hindi sila nagpapatibay ng partido para labanan ang partido ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.

 

“We are not going to quarrel. Far from it. We will be giving our full support for him politically. But the president can be very sure that in the coming days, we will fiscalize. ‘Pag may nakita tayong masama, we will raise our voice, because that is the essence of our presence here,” ani Duterte.

 

Nangako naman si Alvarez na magkakaroon ng reorganisasyon ng partido sa buong bansa para mas mapalakas pa ang PDP-Laban.

 

Ang iba pang mga nahalal na opisyal ay sina Sen. Robinhood Padilla (Executive Vice President),  Parañaque City Rep. Edwin Olivarez (Vice President for NCR); Sen. Francis Tolentino (Vice President for Luzon; Cebu City Mayor Michael L. Rama (Vice President for Visayas); and Sen. Ronald  Dela Rosa (Vice President for Mindanao).

 

Nanatili naman si Melvin Matibag bilang secretary-general ng PDP-Laban.

 

Si House Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Dueñas Gonzales Jr., (Pampanga) ang treasurer at si Sen. Christopher Lawrence Go pa rin ang auditor.
