DBM itinuro ang DepEd sa ‘zero budget’ sa SPED

Dumipensa ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa hindi paglalaan ng pondo para sa Special Education (SPED) Program ng Department of Education (DepEd).

Sa pahayag ng DBM, itinulak ng DepEd ang probisyon para sa pondo sa SPED sa 2023 National Expenditure Program (NEP) ngunit nabigo namang magsumite ng mga kinakailangan dokumento.

Dagdag pa ng kagawaran, nabigo rin ang DepEd na ipaliwanag ang kalagayan ng Inclusive Learning Resource Centers na napondohan noong 2021 at ngayon taon.

Sa pagdinig sa Kamara ng 2023 budget ng DepEd, naibahagi ni Education Usec. Ernesto Gaviola na walang pondo para sa learners with disabilities (LWDs) sa susunod na taon.

Unang humingi ang DepEd ng P532 milyon para sa kanilang SPED.
