P2.2 bilyong pondo inilaan ng DBM para sa Energy department

Aabot sa P2.2 bilyong pondo ang inilaan ng Department of Budget Management para sa ibat-ibang programa ng Department of Energy.

Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, gagamitin ang pondo para sa Total Electrification Project, Renewable Energy Development Program, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program at Alternative Fuels and Technologies Program.

Sa ilalim ng 2023 National Expenditure Program (NEP), P500 milyon ang nakalaan para matupad ng DOE ang target na kabitan ng kuryente ang nasa 10,000 na bahay sa buong bansa sa ilalim na rin ng Total Electrification Project (TEP).

“This is good news, especially for far-flung areas where electricity is scarce. The Total Electrification Project of the DOE shall help improve and modernize industries in different provinces across the country, which will lead to the expansion of our economy,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.

Nasa P476 milyon naman ang inilaan para sa Renewable Energy Development Program, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program, and Alternative Fuels at Technologies Program.

“These initiatives are part of the administration’s commitment to provide reasonably priced, sustainable, and sufficient electricity,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
