PBBM Jr., hinirang ang mga Filipino nurses na ‘Bayani ng Bayan’
Labis na pinuri ni Pangulong Marcos jr., ang mga nurse sa bansa at tinawag pa niya ang mga nito na ‘Bayani ng Bayan.’
Ginawa ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., ang pagkilala sa selebrasyon ng 100th Foundation Anniversary ng Philippine Nurses Asso., Inc., kasabay ng paggunita sa 65th Nurses Week sa Manila Hotel.
“It is my pleasure then to stand before you today as my father did 50 years ago to celebrate this momentous occasion. Now more than ever with all the challenges that you have hurdled during the pandemic, I see before me a strong and capable nursing force that is at the forefront of quality and excellent care not only here in the country but around the world,” sabi nito.
Binanggit din ng Punong Ehekutibo ang naiiambag ng mga Filipino nurses na makilala ang Pilipinas sa kanilang pagbibigay serbisyo sa ibang bansa.
“Indeed I think I am correct when I say, no other country can boast of such a strong and capable nurses whoa re known not just for competence and dedication to this very noble calling of healthcare but for their compassion and kindness,” dagdag pa nito.
Nagbalik tanaw pa ito sa pagbanggit na limang dekada na ang nakalipas nang magsalita din ang kanyang yumaong ama sa Philippine Nurses Asso.
Samantala, maging ang Punong Ehekutibo ay nakukulangan sa mga benepisyong natatanggap ng mga nurse sa bansa.
Ngunit sa pahiwatig nito hindi kakayanin sa ngayon ng gobyerno na madagdagan pa ng husto ang mga benepisyo dahil sa kakapusan ng pondo.
Nangako na lamang ito na bukas siya na mapag-usapan ang mabilis na pagpasa ng Philippine Nursing Practices Act.
“So the government recognizes and acknowledges your hard work and sacrifice, including risking your own health and lives to care for others. As your president you may rest assured that my office is always open for meaningful dialogue to address the issues concerning our nurses and allied healthcare professionals,” sabi pa nito.
Nais din aniya niyang matutukan ang malaking agwat sa natatanggap na suweldo ng mga pampubliko at pribadong nurses.
