P8-B cash allocation para sa 1.5-M magsasaka, nailabas na ng DBM

Inaprubahan na ni Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman ang paglalabas ng Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) na nagkakahalaga ng P8,053,474,140 sa Department of Agriculture (DA) para sa pamamahagi ng P5,000 subsidiya sa 1,563,781 magsasaka para sa ikatlo at ikaapat na kwarter ng taong 2022.

Alinsunod ito sa implementasyon ng Rice Farmers’ Financial Assistance (RFFA) program, na layong suportahan ang mga rice farmer na apektado ng Rice Tariffication Law.

“Our farmers deserve our help and care. The immediate release of cash assistance could provide relief to our rice farmers given the recent natural calamities they experienced,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Dagdag nito, “This unconditional cash assistance could also provide aid to the rice farmers in securing farm inputs such as fertilizer and oil farm machinery.”

Sakop din sa NCA ang service fee, kasama ang halaga ng card generation, para sa Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund-RFFA sa ilalim ng Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).

Noong Marso 24, naglabas ang kagawaran ng Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) na nagkakahalaga ng P8,948,302,090 sa DA sa ilalim ng Unprogrammed Appropriations, General Appropriations Act FY 2022, at Republic Act 11639.

Noon namang Mayo 6, nailabas na rin sa DA ang inisyal na NCA na nagkakahalaga ng P894,827,950 base sa computed budgetary requirements ng 173,753 na kwalipikadong rice farmer-beneficiaries.
