Tuluyan nang binara ni President-elect Rodrigo Duterte ang mga balitang posibleng mabigyan ng posisyon sa Duterte Cabinet si Vice President-elect Leni Robredo.
Sa press conference, sinabi ni Duterte na ‘non-committal’ siya sa pagbibigay ng anumang posisyon kay Robredo dahil galing ito sa ‘opposite side’ o ‘kabila’.
“There’s no compelling reason for me to accommodate the Vice President. I’m sorry,” pahayag ni Duterte.
Paliwanag pa ni Duterte, kaibigan niya si Senador Bongbong Marcos at bilang katunayan, naging bahagi pa ng Gabinete ng ama nito na si dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos ang kanyang tatay.
Paliwanag pa nito, natalo siya sa Bicol region na balwarte ni Robredo ngunit landslide ang kanyang lamang sa ‘Solid North’ na hawak naman ng mga Marcos.
Ayaw niya aniyang masaktan si Sen. Bongbong at umaasang maiintindihan ito ng kanyang magiging bise-presidente.
