Abra, isinailalim sa state of calamity

Isinailalim sa state of calamity ang probinsya ng Abra.

Sa inilabas na Resolution No. 180 series of 2022, idineklara ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Abra ang state of calamity bunsod ng iniwang matinding pinsala ng magnitude 7 na lindol noong Miyerkules ng umaga, Hulyo 27.

Base sa inisyal na ulat mula sa Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), apektado ng mga natamong pinsala ang mahigit 80 porsyento ng kabuuang populasyon ng Abra.

Nasira rin ang ilang imprastraktura ng gobyerno at pribadong pag-aari.

“Such a disaster has destroyed power lines placing Abra into province wide brown out and the destruction of houses, buildings and bridges have paralyzed the operation of business establishments likewise, displacing a lot of Abranios as they stay out of their homes without food,” saad pa nito.

Hiniling din ng Provincial Government ng Abra ng agarang tulong mula sa mga ahensya ng pamahalaan para sa disaster response, relief, rehabilitation at reconstruction support.

Sa huling datos ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), lima katao ang nasawi dahil sa malakas na lindol.

Umabot naman sa 12,945 katao o 3,456 pamilya sa 149 barangay sa Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) ang apektado ng pagyanig.
