14 SRR teams, ipinadala ng AFP para sa mga apektadong lugar ng M7.0 quake

Nagpadala ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ng 14 search, rescue, and retrieval teams (SRR) sa mga lugar na tinamaan ng magnitude 7 na lindol sa Northern Luzon.

Simula noong Miyerkules, Hulyo 27, tumulong na ang 24th Infantry Battalion (24IB) sa paglikas ng mga pasyente sa isang ospital sa Bangued, Abra.

Naka-deploy din ang mga tauhan ng 71st Infantry Battalion upang sagipin ang mga residente sa Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

Nakatutok naman ang 54IB, 72nd Division Reconnaissance Company, 502nd Infantry Brigade, at CAFGU Active Auxillary units at road clearing efforts, paghahatid ng transportation assistance, at search and rescue operations sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Northern Luzon.

Ipinag-utos din ng AFP sa 525th Engineering and Construction Battalion, Philippine Army; 505th Search and Rescue Group ng Philippine Air Force; at Naval Installation Command ng Philippine Navy na magpadala ng rescue teams para sa hiwalay na rescue efforts sa iba pang parte ng nasabing rehiyon.

Nagbaba rin ng direktiba si Lt. Gen. Ernesto Torres Jr, Commander ng AFP Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), ang paggamit ng C208 aircraft para magsagawa ng aerial survey simula noong Miyerkules.

Sa araw ng Huwebes, Hulyo 28, tuluy-tuloy ang search, rescue, and retrieval operations ng mga sundalo habang ang ibang grupo naman ay tumutulong sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa pamamahagi ng relief goods sa mga apektadong residente.

“The AFP leadership has ordered its units through the Northern Luzon Command to maximize the utilization of personnel, equipment, and other resources to support the humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts of the local and national governments in badly hit areas to alleviate the situation of the affected residents,” saad ng militar.

Base sa datos ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) hanggang Hulyo 28, umabot sa 12,945 katao mula sa 3,456 pamilya sa Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) ang naapektuhan ng lindol na tumama sa Abra.
