Mayor Belmonte, pinare-review ang hirit ng grupong BAYAN na makapag-rally sa QC
Inatasan ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte ang Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) na rebyuhin ang hirit ng grupong BAYAN na makapagsagawa ng rally sa lungsod sa State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Lunes, Hulyo 25.
Pahayag ito ni Belmonte matapos hindi pagbigyan ng lokal na pamahalaan ang aplikasyon na “permit to rally” ng BAYAN.
Utos ni Belmonte sa DPOS, maghanap kung mayroong middle ground.
“I have instructed the Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) to carefully review the counter-points that were presented, and to determine if there are any possible accomodations or middle ground that they can agree upon. The same will also be applied to all rally permits that are currently with the DPOS,” pahayag ni Belmonte.
Sinabi pa ni Belmonte na tiyak na tatalakayin ang hirit ng BAYAN sa gagawing pagpupulong sa araw ng Biyernes, Hulyo 22.
“Rest assured, all these shall be discussed during our final SONA coordination meeting, which will happen today,” pahayag ni Belmonte.
Nasa ibang bansa si Belmonte at dumadalo sa International Visitor Leadership Program’s Summit for Democracy Initiative.
