Sen. Risa Hontiveros humirit ng imbestigasyon sa PHSA abuses
Naghain ng resolusyon si Senator Risa Hontiveros para maimbestigahan sa Senado ang mga sumbong ng iba’t ibang uri ng pang-aabuso sa mga estudyante ng Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA).
Sa kanyang resolusyon, hiniling ni Hontiveros na ang pinamumunuan niyang Senate Committee on Women ang mag-imbestiga.
Gusto din niyang alamin kung may posibleng paglabag sa Safe Spaces Act na kanya ring iniakda.
“It is imperative that the Senate, exercising its oversight powers, initiate a thorough but expeditious investigation on the matter to ensure that PHSA and other educational institutions are safe spaces, especially with the upcoming blended/face-to face-classes in August,” saad ni Hontiveros sa resolusyon.
Una nang nagpahayag ng kanyang suporta ang senadora sa mga lumutang na biktima at nagbunyag ng kani-kanilang hindi kanais-nais na karanasan sa naturang paaralan.
