Tiniyak ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte na gagamitin niya sa kanyang pamumuno ang mga matutunan sa International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) sa Washington, USA.
Ang programa ay inaalok ng US State Department at layon nito na paigtingin ang demokrasya, pagrespeto sa karapatang-pantao at paglaban sa korapsyon.
“It is an honor to be selected as one of the delegates to this prestigious exchange program. I consider this as recognition of the outstanding work that the city government has done to advance the welfare of our city and our QCitizens,” ani Belmonte.
Makakasama ni Belmonte ang iba pang opisyal ng iba din lokal na pamahalaan ng ibat-ibang bansa.
Nagsimula ang programa noong Hulyo 11 at magtatapos sa Hulyo 21.
