Inilabas na ng Department of Budget ad Management ang P6.2 bilyong pondo para ipang-ayuda sa anim na milyong mga mahihirap na pamilyang Filipino.
Makatanggap ng P500 na buwanang ayuda ang mga mahihirap na pamilya na apektado ng pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo.
Ibinigay ang naturang pondo sa Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Ayon sa DBM, kabilang sa mga makatatanggap ng ayuda ang apat na milyong naka-enroll sa Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program habang ang dalawang milyon ay mga social pension beneficiaries.
“The beneficiaries shall receive P500 monthly cash subsidies for six (6) months to be distributed in three (3) tranches. This implies they are expected to receive P1000 for the first tranche, which will be distributed through the cash cards issued by the LandBank of the Philippines or other approved modes of distribution,” pahayag ng DBM.
