MOA para sa mas mabilis na data-sharing pinirmahan ng MMDA, LTO
Pumirma ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at Land Transportation Office-Philippines (LTO) sa isang Memorandum of Agreement ukol sa data systems para sa mas mabilis na pagbabahagi ng impormasyon sa mga motorista at sasakyang sangkot sa traffic violations.
Pinirmahan nina MMDA Chairman Atty. Romando Artes at LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante ang pagtatayo ng LTO-MMDA System Interconnectivity Project.
Layon ng naturang proyekto na magkaroon ng data-sharing sa pgaitan ng data systems ng MMDA at Land Transport Management System (LTMS) ng LTO.
Sa pamamagitan nito, mapapalakas ang law enforcement and traffic apprehension functions ng dalawang ahensya.
Makatutulong din ito na mapaigting ang kaligtasan sa kalsada sa pamamagitan ng mabilis na pagtukoy sa mga motoristang sangkot sa mga traffic incidents at paglabag sa batas-trapiko.
Ayon kay Artes, mas magiging mabisa ang traffic enforcement and apprehension systems ng MMDA sa pagkakaroon ng real-time access sa records ng LTO.
Maliban sa driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, at vehicle safety inspection records, konektado na rin ang LTMS sa ilang kaalyadong partido tulad ng vehicle sellers, insurance companies at ahensya ng gobyerno tulad ng Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) at Bureau of Customs (BOC).
“This will allow the MMDA to more swiftly determine the ownership and address of vehicle owners caught by its non-contact apprehension system (NCAP), so the parties involved can be informed and their violations settled,” pahayag ni Artes.
Inaasahang makakatulong din ito upang mapagbuti ang NCAP sa pamamagitan ng email o text message notification. Makakatanggap ng advance notification ang traffic violators, ngunit makakakuha pa rin sila ng printed copy ng notice para sa kumpletong detalye ng paglabag.
“With this agreement, we can quickly pinpoint drivers committing multiple traffic violations resulting in the suspension of their licenses and their mandatory training on road safety and traffic rules. Drivers with violations will also be prevented from receiving the new ten-year licenses that are now being granted by the LTO,” saad naman ni Galvante.
