Mga grupo, hinimok na huwag nang magkasa ng kilos-protesta sa Hunyo 30
Hinikayat ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang mga grupong nagpaplanong magkasa ng kilos-protesta sa Lungsod ng Maynila sa Huwebes, Hunyo 30.
Kasabay ito ng idaraos na inauguration ceremony ni incoming President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
“Our mantra is not to curtail the freedom of expression and the right to peaceably assemble, but the same constitutional rights should not be abused leading to acts of violence and disorder,” saad nj PNP Officer-In-Charge Police Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr.
Hindi aniya papayagang makapagsagawa ng mga rally o public assembly malapit sa National Museum.
Hahayaan aniyang makapagsagawa ng public assembly sa freedom parks ng nasabing lungsod.
Iginiit ng Manila Police District (MPD) na mayroong “No Permit, No Rally” ordinance ang Manila City government at Batas Pambansa 880, o Public Assembly Act of 1985, kung saan pinapayagang makapagsagawa ng kilos-protesta nang walang permit sa government-designated freedom parks.
Siniguro ni Danao na ipatutupad ang maximum tolerance.
Aniya, “The PNP will only act accordingly in response to the situation, and persons responsible for any outbreak of violence will be held accountable for their actions.”
“Blatant violation may include the destruction of property, obstruction of traffic, and other forms of public disturbance,” dagdag nito.
Sinabi pa ni Danao na anumang grupo na tutuloy sa planong protesta ay kailangang tumalima sa minimum public health standard.
