DOJ, bumuo ng probe panel para sa ‘forced takeover’ ng Okada Manila

Bumuo si Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra ang isang panel of prosecutors para suriin ang sinasabing pang-aagaw ng Okada Manila Casino and Hotel sa Parañaque City noong nakaraang Mayo 31.

Ayon kay Guevarra, agad ding sinimulan ng panel ang preliminary investigation sa reklamo na inihain nina Hajime Tokuda, director ng Universal Entertainment; Tiger Resorts Leisure and Entertainment, Inc. vice chairperson Michiake Satate at TRLEI board member James Lorenzana.

Samantala, ilan naman sa kanilang mga inireklamo sina gaming tycoon Kazuo Okada, Tetsuya Yokota, Hiroshi Kawamura, Antonio Cojuangco, Dindo Espeleta, Maximo Flores, Atty. Binky Herrera, Jose Nicolas at ilang guwardiya.

Inireklamo ni Tokuda ang ‘respondents’ ng kidnapping at serious illegal detention, gayundin ng grave coercion at unjust vexation.

Base sa reklamo, walang katotohanan na pag-aari ni Okada ang naturang casino at hotel.

Ilegal din anila ang ginawang pagpapatawag ni Okada ng Special Stockholder’s Meeting and Organization Meeting para iupo ang sarili niyang Board of Directors and Officers.
