Pag-alis ng mandatory na pagsusuot ng face mask, hindi pa ligtas – health expert
Naglabas ng reaksyon ang isang health expert ukol sa pag-aalis ng polisiya sa mandatory na pagsusuot ng face mask.
Kasunod ito ng inilabas na executive order ni Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia na optional na lamang ang pagsusuot ng face mask sa open at well-ventilated areas.
Sa Laging Handa public briefing, sinabi ni vaccine expert panel member Dr. Rontgene Solante na hindi pa ligtas na alisin ang polisiya sa pagsusuot ng face mask.
“For me, at this point in time, plus the fact na mayroon pa tayong various variants of concern na hindi pa natin alam ang status, especially in these provinces, I think it’s not safe yet to lift the mask mandate not only in indoor but also outdoor,” paliwanag nito.
Kahit mas mataas ang banta ng hawaan ng COVID-19 sa indoor areas, iginiit ng health expert na hindi ito nangangahulugang ‘zero risk’ sa outdoor areas o matataong lugar.
Mas maigi pa rin aniyang ituloy ang pagsunod sa health protocols upang maging ligtas sa nakahahawang sakit.
