Naitalang higit 300 bagong kaso ng COVID-19, hindi maituturing na ’cause for concern’ – health expert

Hindi maituturing na ’cause for concern’ ang naitalang mahigit 300 bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.

Umabot sa 308 ang napaulat na bagong kaso ng nakahahawang sakit sa bansa. Ito ang pinakamataas na single-day jump simula noong Abril 20.

Sa Laging Handa public briefing, sinabi ni vaccine expert panel member Dr. Rontgene Solante na posibleng magkakaroon ng pagtaas ng COVID-19 cases kapag pumapasok sa bansa ang mga kaso ng subvariants.

“But if you look at the 300 plus cases, it’s not something to worry about,” ani Solante.

Alam naman na aniya ng publiko kung paano maiiwasan o makontrol ang hawaan sa COVID-19.

“We just have to monitor the cases and again, ang pinaka-importante ngayon, we need to maintain our mask mandate, the health protocol, kasama na rin diyan ang paglago ng first booster,” saad pa nito.

Paliwanag nito, mahalaga aniyang marami pang Filipino ang makatanggap ng booster shot upang magkaroon ng karagdagang proteksyon laban sa nakahahawang sakit.

Base sa huling datos ng Department of Health (DOH) hanggang Hunyo 12, nasa 2,918 pa ang aktibong kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
