18 Immigration personnel, sinibak sa serbisyo dahil sa pastillas scam
Ipinag-utos ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang pagsibak sa serbisyo ng 18 opisyal at tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na nasabit sa ‘pastillas scandal.’
Sinabi ni Usec. Neal Banito na ang pagsibak sa 18 Immigration personnel ay nakapaloob sa resolusyon.
Aniya, ang 18 tauhan ay naharap sa administrative cases na grave misconduct, gross neglect of duty at conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.
Una nang inanunsiyo ng Office of the Ombudsman ang paghahain ng mga kaso sa 40 indibiduwal karamihan ay mga opisyal at tauhan ng kawanihan, bunga ng naturang modus.
Taong 2020 nang ibunyag ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros ang ‘pastillas scam’ at aniya, ito ang dahilan kaya’t maraming Chinese citizens ang nakapasok sa Pilipinas dahil sa ‘lagay’ sa mga tiwaling taga-Immigration na nakatalaga sa NAIA.
Ang suhol na pera ay nakabalot sa bond paper kayat nagmumukha itong pastillas.
