QC LGU, naglunsad ng early warning system para sa COVID-19 monitoring

Naglunsad ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City ng bagong early warning system para agad na malaman kung posibleng tumaas ang kaso ng COVID-19.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, ang Quezon City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (QCESU) ang nag-design ng bagong warning system.

Nakapaloob dito ang sestimatikong monitoring ng bagong kaso ng COVID-19, analysis of trend, at rekomendasyon para sa strategic measures para agad na naagapan ang panibagong outbreak.

“As our doctors would say ‘prevention is better than cure’. At this point, there’s too much at stake to let all our efforts go to waste. We cannot afford to go back to zero,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Sinabi naman ni QCESU Chief Dr. Rolly Cruz na gagamit ang warning system ng tatlong kulay. Ito ay ang puti, dilaw at pula para ma-classify ang’status of infections’ sa lungsod.

Ibig sabihin ng puti ay walang bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa nakalipas na 14 araw, habang ang dilaw ay tumataas ang kaso at ang pula ay mataas na ang kaso ng COVID-19.

Sa ngayon, nasa puting status aniya ang Quezon City.
