43 porsyento ng mga pamilyang Filipino, itinuturing ang sarili na mahirap – SWS

Nasa 43 porsyento ng mga pamilyang Filipino ang nagsabing pakiramdam nila ay mahirap sila, base sa pinakahuling survey ng Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Sa tanong na “Saan po ninyo ilalagay ang inyong pamilya sa kard na ito?,” 34 porsyento ang sumagot na ‘borderline poor’ habang 23 porsyento ang nagsabing hindi sila mahirap.

Halos pareho lamang ang lumabas na datos sa naitalang numero noong Disyembre 2021, kung saan 43 porsyento ang nagsabing ‘poor’, 39 porsyento ang ‘borderline poor’, at 19 porsyento ang ‘not poor’.

Sinabi ng SWS na humigit-kumulang 10.9 milyon ang self-rated poor families hanggang Abril 2022.

“The steady Self-Rated Poor between December 2021 and April 2022 was due to increases in Mindanao and Metro Manila, combined with decreases in the Visayas and Balance Luzon,” saad nito.

Sa pamamagitan ng face-to-face interview, isinagawa ang First Quarter 2022 Social Weather Survey sa 1,440 adults sa buong bansa noong Abril 19 hanggang 27.
