Binance, nalugi ng $1.6-B sa pagbagsak ng Luna at UST

Hindi nakaligtas ang crypto giant na Binance sa mga apektado ng pagbagsak sa presyo ng Luna token at UST token kamakailan.

Ayon kay Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, noong 2018, nag-invest ang kumpanya ng $3 million o humigit P150 milyon para sa Luna, at nakatanggap naman sila ng 15 million na Luna token bilang early investor.

Dagdag ni Zhao, noong kalakasan ng nasabing crypto noong Abril, umabot sa $1.6 billion ang halaga ng kanilang Luna token holdings ngunit matapos ang pagbagsak nito, umabot na lamang sa $2,900 o humigit P150,000 ang kanilang invesment.

Sa kabila ng pagkalugi, hihilingin ng Binance na mabigyan muna ng compensation ang retail investors bago ang kanilang kumpanya.

“To lead by example on PROTECTING USERS, Binance will let this go and ask the Terra project team to compensate the retails [sic] users first, Binance last, if ever,” Ayon kay Zhao.

Sa ngayon, nais ipatawag ng South Korean government ang CEO ng Terraform Labs na si Do Kwon upang magpaliwanag sa nangyaring pagbagsak ng kanilang cryptocurrency.
