Misamis Occidental at Pilar, Abra isinailalim sa control ng Comelec
Isinailalim sa control ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang Misamis Occidental at bayan ng Pilar sa Abra.
Ito ay dahil sa mga naitalang election-related violence.
Ayon kay Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan, inaprubahan ng Committee on Ban of Firearms and Security Concerns ang rekomendasyon ng Regional Joint Security Control Center ng Region X na isailalim sa control ng Comelec ang Misamis Occidental dahil sa mga nangyayaring gulo.
Ginawa ni Pangarungan ang pahayag sa ceremonial send-off sa mga pulis sa Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Paalala ni Pangarungan sa mga pulis, tiyaking magiging maayos at mapayapa ang eleksyon sa Mayo 9.
