Halos P4-M halaga ng shabu, isinilid sa baby bottle sterilizer

Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs NAIA, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), at NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group ang P3,998,400 halaga ng methamphetamine hydrochloride o shabu sa Las Piñas City noong April 28, 2022.

Sa isinagawang controlled delivery operations, naaresto ang isang residente sa Pasay City, kasama ang isang Nigerian National, matapos tanggapin ang package sa Marcos Alvarez Avenue Cor Veraville Homes, Talon Singko bandang 8:20 ng umaga.

Nadiskubre ng BOC sa x-ray scanning ang mga kahina-hinalang imahe kung kaya’t sumalang sa 100 porsyentong physical examination ang package.

Nakita ng Customs examiner ang 588 gramo ng shabu sa aluminum foil at nakatago sa loob ng isang baby bottle sterilizer at dryer.

Lumabas sa record na nagmula ang package sa Laos at unang idineklara na naglalaman ng “electric steamer”.

Sa ngayon, dumadaamn ang claimants sa custodial investigation at sasalang sa inquest prosecution dahil sa paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 na may kinalaman sa Sections 119 at 1401 ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
