PNP, ipinaalalang epektibo pa rin ang election gun ban

gun ban 02Muling ipinaalala ng Philippine National Police  o PNP na epektibo pa rin ang election gun ban, kahit tapos na ang May 09 polls.

Ito’y makaraang maarestado ang isang off-duty na gwardiya dahil sa paglabag sa umiiral na panuntunan.

Ayon sa Quezon City Police District Station 2, kinilala ang security guard na si Jeffrey Colon.

Batay sa imbestigasyon, nahuli ng mga nagpa-patrol na pulis si Colon na may bitbit na hindi lisensyadong baril, dakong alas-singko ng hapon kahapon (May 21).

Katwiran pa raw ni Colon, ipapa-renew niya ang lisensya ng baril, gayunman hindi ito kinagat ng mga pulis lalo’t walang serial number at proper markings ang armas.

Kaya bukod sa paglabag sa election gun ban, kakasuhan si Colon na illegal possession of firearm.

Matatandaang batay sa resolusyon ng Commission on Elections o Comelec, ang gun ban ay nagsimula noong January 10, 2016, at nakatakdang magtapos sa June 08, 2016.
