ICHRP, pamamahiya lamang ang ginagawa sa Pilipinas – Palasyo
Pamamahiya lamang sa bansa ang ginagawa ng International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP).
Pahayag ito ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang matapos manawagan ang grupo na patawan ng Magnitsky sanctions ang Pilipinas dahil sa human rights violation sa bansa.
Ayon kay acting Presidential spokesman Martin Andanar, walang ibang hangad ang grupo kung hindi ang pahiyain ang Pilipinas sa international community.
“It is baffling how it has come up with allegations of human rights violations of the Philippine government without validating the same with the appropriate authorities,” pahayag ni Andanar.
Seryoso aniya ang pamahalaan na resolbahin ang human rights violation sa bansa.
“Again, as we are serious in resolving all human rights violations and abuses, alleged or not, we keep our doors wide open to this group for substantive and productive engagements,” pahayag ni Andanar.
“This would spare them from being a laughingstock among States that know better what is really going on in our country. Moreover, the Magnitsky Act must be protected from such misuse in this regard,” dagdag ni Andanar.
