P100-M halaga ng mga pekeng produkto, nakumpiska sa Valenzuela City

Nakumpiska ng Bureau of Customs (BOC), sa pamamagitan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Intellectual Property Rights Division (CIIS-IPRD) at BOC-Port of Manila (POM), ang mga pekeng produkto na nagkakahalaga ng P100 milyon sa Valenzuela City noong March 25.

Sa bisa ng Letter of Authority (LOA) mula kay BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, nag-inspeksyon ang mga tauhan ng CIIS-IPRD, BOC-POM, BOC Revenue Collection and Monitoring Group (RCMG) – Legal Service, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa isang warehouse sa bahagi ng No. 8 Rincon Road.

Bago selyuhan ang warehouse, nagsagawa ng inventory ang BOC examiners na nagresulta sa pagkakadiskubre ng mga ukay-ukay at ilang pekeng produkto na may tatak na Nike, Crocs, Sandugo at iba pa.

Sa ngayon, nagsasagawa na ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon sa posibleng paglabag sa Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (RA 8293) at Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (RA 10863).
