Suportado ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang utos ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na rebyuhin ang minimum wage sa bansa.
Ito ay kasunod na rin ng sunud-sunod na pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo.
Ayon kay acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar, alter ego ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Bello.
Kung ano aniya ang makabubuti sa bayan, gagawin ito ng Pangulo.
Napapanahon na aniya na taasan ang sweldo ng mga manggagawa dahil mataas na rin ang bilihin.
Una rito, inatasan ni Bello ang Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards na i-review ang antas ng sweldo ng mga manggagawa sa bansa.
