Donasyon ng U.S. na higit 4-M doses ng Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, dumating sa bansa
Nag-donate ang United States government, katuwang ang COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) facility, ng 3,999,060 doses ng Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine sa Pilipinas kasabay ng patuloy na paglaban ng buong mundo sa COVID-19.
Bahagi ang mga bakuna ng 1.2 bilyong COVID-19 vaccine doses na ginawang available ng Amerika para ipamahagi sa COVAX.
Ang naturang batch ang pinakamalaking single-day shipment.
Dahil dito, naabot ng Amerika ang target ni U.S. President Joe Biden na makapagpadala ng 200 milyong doses sa mga katuwang na bansa.
Sa ngayon, umabot na sa 33.3 milyong doses ng naturang bakuna ang naibigay ng Amerika sa Pilipinas.

This significant donation underscores the United States’ commitment to continue working with our Philippine partners to combat COVID-19 even as we face serious challenges around the world,” saad ni U.S. Embassy in the Philippines Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) ad interim Heather Variava.
Maliban sa mga donasyong bakuna, nakapagbigay din ang gobyerno ng Amerika ng humigit-kumulang P1.9 bilyon o $39 million bilang COVID-19 assistance sa Pilipinas upang suportahan ang pagsusuri, crucial care, communication campaigns, protection at training ng health workers, vaccine deployment, at mga kinakailangang kagamitan at suplay.
