1,321 DPWH projects, nakumpleto sa Central Luzon sa taong 2021
Nakumpleto ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang 1,321 projects sa ilalim ng 2021 Regular Infrastructure Program sa Region 3.
Ayon kay DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, natapos at naisaayos ang 98.68 kilometro ng road na nagkakahalaga ng P2.68 bilyon; 22.3 kilometro ng asphalt overlay project na nagkakahalaga ng P244 milyon; at 20 tulay na aabot sa P428 milyon ang halaga.
Maliban dito, natapos din noong 2021 ang 19,507 lineal meters ng drainage, 43,985 square meters ng kalsada na may slips slope, at 41,469 square meters ng road slope protection structure.
“We congratulate the hardworking officials, employees, and construction workers of DPWH Regional Office 3 and the DEOs who tirelessly worked on ground in spite of the pandemic for this accomplishment wouldn’t be possible without them,” pahayag ni DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado.
Naikasa rin ng DPWH ang mga proyekto ng non-infrastructure agencies, gaya ng 55.11 kilometers ng farm-to-market roads, katuwang ang Department of Agriculture (DA); 70 school buildings na pinondohan ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa ilalim ng Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF); 12 infrastructure facilities sa ilalim ng Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS) Program ng Department of National Defense (DND), public markets na pinondohan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at 12 COVID-19 temporary treatment and monitoring facilities.
Ani Tolentino, “We are fast-tracking the completion of 297 ongoing projects under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA) and start the 222 remaining projects to improve mobility and provide better access to services to the people.”
Sa Central Luzon, mayroong 14 District Engineering Offices (DEOs) ang kagawaran.
