13 Filipino mula Ukraine, nakauwi na ng Pilipinas

Nakauwi na ng Pilipinas ang 13 Filipino mula sa Ukraine, ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Kasunod ito ng tumitinding tensyon sa pagitan ng Ukraine at Russia.

Dumating ang mga Filipino sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) sa pamamagitan ng Emirates Airlines flight pasado 10:00, Martes ng gabi (March 1).

Sa pangunguna nina Undersecretary Sarah Lou Arriola at Assistant Secretary Paul Raymund Cortes, sinalubong ng ilang opisyal ng kagawaran ang mga Filipino.

Bahagi ang naturang grupo ng 40 bakwit na umalis sa Kyiv patungo sa Lviv at sinalubong ni DFA Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. sa Poland border.

Sa ngayon, umabot na sa 19 ang bilang ng napauwing Filipino galing Ukraine.

Ginamit ang Assistance-to-Nationals fund ng DFA sa lahat ng repatriation expenses, kabilang ang transport expenses mula Kyiv hanggang Warsaw, food and accommodation sa Lviv at Warsaw, RT-PCR test, at airfare pauwi ng Maynila.
