DOH, FDA: Ivermectin walang bisa kontra COVID 19
Hindi nakakatulong ang Ivermectin sa mga sintomas ng COVID 19, gayundin sa hospital utilization rates, ayon sa Department of Health(DOH).
Ito ang dahilan kayat hindi inirerekomenda ng kagawaran na gamitin na panggamot laban sa 2019 coronavirus ang gamot na pangontra sa bullate.
Sa pahayag ng DOH at Food and Drug Administration, base sa mga nailathalang medical journals hindi nakakatulong ang Ivermectin para mabawasan ang sintomas ng sakit.
“The study of Lim, C.L. et al (2022) demonstrated that Ivermectin treatment during early illness did not prevent progression to severe disease. In line with this, the study of Hill, A. et al (2022) showed that some of the studies involved in previous meta-analyses suggesting significant benefits of Ivermectin for COVID-19, were found to have methodology concerns that could potentially result into outcomes bias, coupled with ethical and plagiarism issues, thus the need for more quality protocols in evaluating clinical trials,” ang pahayag ng DOH.
Sinabi din ng FDA na ang tanging rehistradong oral at IV preparations ng Ivermectin sa bansa ay gamot sa mga hayop at maari itong magamit panlaban sa mga bullate.
Sa mga tao, ang magagamit ay ang topical formulation ng Ivermectin na gamot sa kuto at ilang kondisyon sa balat.
