Gobyerno, may inilaang fuel subsidy program para sa mga tsuper

May nakalaan na fuel subsidy program ang pamahalaan para sa mga tsuper sa bansa.

Pahayag ito ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang sa gitna ng sunud-sunod na oil price increase sa produktong petrolyo.

Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles, may nakalaang P2.5 bilyong fuel subsidy program ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa General Appropriations Act.

Gagamitin aniya ang pondo bilang subsidiya o financial assistance bilang fuel vouchers sa mga drayber ng public utility vehicles, taxi, tricycle, fulltime ride hailing delivery service drivers sa buong bansa.

Pero ayon kay Nograles, ang implementasyon ng fuel subsidy ay nakaangkla sa guidelines ng DOTr, Department of Energy (DOE) at Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

Maaring maibigay ang fuel subsidy kung papalo sa 80 US dollars per barrel ang presyo ng Dubai crude oil price sa nakalipas na tatlong buwan.

Ayon kay Nograles, nakasaad din sa GAA ng fuel discount sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda na apektado ng oil price increase.

Ayon kay Nograles, nakabantay at naglatag na rin ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ng retail price sa mga pangunahing bilihin para hindi masamantala ang oil price increase.
