Chinese New Year, maayos na naipagdiwang – PNP

Hindi man naging magarbo tulad noong mga nakalipas na taon bago magkaroon ng COVID-19 pandemic, naging payapa at ligtas pa rin ang selebrasyon ang Chinese New Year, ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP).

Sinabi ng pambansang pulisya na walang naitalang untoward incident sa buong bansa sa kasagsagan ng pagdiriwang.

Bagamat ilang Chinese temple ang pinili pa ring sumunod sa ilang New Year greeting rituals, hindi pa rin sila nagbukas sa publiko.

“The Chinese New Year celebration was generally peaceful. No one is exempted from our health protocol. Just like last January 1, we discouraged the gathering of people since the threat of Covid-19 is still everywhere,” pahayag ni PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos.

Nagpasalamat naman ang pambansang pulisya sa publiko, lalo na sa Chinese community, para sa maayos na selebrasyon ng Chinese New Year.

Patuloy pa rin naman ang pag-monitor ng PNP sa mga pampublikong establisyemento dahil maaring magpatuloy ang selebrasyon kasunod ng pagbaba sa Alert Level 2 ng ilang lugar.
