Antas ng tubig sa Angat dam, bumaba

Bumaba ang lebel ng tubig ng Angat dam at iba pang dam sa Luzon sa nakalipas na magdamag.

Ayon sa PAGASA Hydrometeorology Division, nasa 202.33 meters ang antas ng tubig ng Angat dam bandang 6:00, Miyerkules ng umaga (January 5).

Mababa ito ng 9.67 meters kumpara sa Normal High Water Level na 212 meters.

Nabawasan din ang lebel ng tubig sa La Mesa dam (79.28 meters); Ambuklao dam (751.07 meters); San Roque dam (267.33 meters); Pantabangan dam (206.33 meters); Magat dam (185.83 meters); at Caliraya dam (287.40 meters).

Dahil dito, nagpaalala sa publiko ang National Water Resources Board (NWRB), at mga katuwang na ahensya at kanilang concessionaires, na hangga’t maaari ay magtipid sa paggamit ng tubig upang maging sapat pa rin ang suplay nito para sa municipal, irrigation at hydropower uses sa mga susunod na buwan, lalo na sa panahon ng tag-init.

Samantala, nadagdagan naman ang antas ng tubig sa Ipo dam (98.73 meters) at Binga dam (573.64 meters).
