Quezon Memorial Shrine ideneklarang National Cultural Treasure

Ganap nang National Cultural Treasure ang Quezon Memorial Shrine sa Quezon City.

Ito ay matapos ideklara ng National Museum of the Philippines ang Quezon Memorial Schrine bilang National Cultural Treasures ng bansa.

Ito ang pinakamataas na pagkilala ng gobyerno sa isang cultural property.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, malaking karangalan ito para sa kanilang hanay.

“Maraming salamat sa National Museum of the Philippines sa pangunguna ni Director-General Jeremy Barns. Malaking karangalan ang natatanging pagkilala na ito na sumasalamin din sa makulay na kasaysayan at kultura ng Lungsod Quezon,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Nakasaad sa Republic Act 10066 o National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009  na ang National Cultural Treasure ay isang natatanging o unique na cultural property sa isang lugar.

Nabatid na ang Quezon Memorial ay denisenyo ni Architect Federico Ilustre ng Bureau of Public Works at ngayon ay Department of Public Works and Highways.

Ito ay isang equilateral triangular shrine para kay dating Pangulong Manuel Luis M. Quezon.

Nagsisilbi itong museum sa base at mausoleum ni dating Pangulong Quezon at asawang si Aurora.
