Nanumpa na kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si bagong PNP chief Dionard Carlos sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.
Base sa photo release ng Palasyo, ginawa ang oath taking, araw ng Miyerkules (November 17).
Kasabay ng oath taking ceremony ang donning of rank kay Carlos.
Dumalo sa oath taking at donning of ranks sina Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, Senator Christopher Lawrence Go, PNP Adjutant Police Brig. General Belli Tamayo at ang pamilya ni Carlos.
Si Carlos ang ika-27 PNP chief.
Matatapos ang termino ni Carlos sa Mayo ng susunod na taon para sa kanyang mandatory retirement age na 56.
Pinalitan ni Carlos si dating PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar na nagretiro na noong Nobyembre 13.
