Malakanyang sinabing ipaglalaban ang teritoryo ng Pilipinas

Kasunod ng panibagong kaso ng harassement sa Filipino supply vessels ng Chinese Coast Guard, muling iginiit ng Malakanyang na hindi ilalaglag ang ‘sovereign rights’ ng Pilipinas.

Sinabi ni Cabinet Secretary at acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles, hindi bibitawan ng bansa ang hurisdiskyon sa Ayungin Shoal.

Aniya natanggap na rin ng Palasyo ang ulat mula sa AFP – Western Command hinggil sa insidente nang panghaharang at pambobomba ng tubig ng tatlong Chinese Coast Guard vessels sa dalawang supply ships.

“As we have in the past, we will continue to assert our sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction over our territory,” sabi pa ni Nograles.

Dagdag pa niya, mabilis naman na gumawa ng hakbang ang Deparment of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa pamamagitan ng pagpapadala ng sulat sa Chinese Foreign Ministry sa Beijing, gayundin sa Chinese Embassy, para maipaabot ang pagkondena ng gobyerno sa pangyayari.
