Pagsusuot ng face shield sa public transport sa mga lugar na nasa Alert Level 1, 2 at 3, hindi na mandatory – DOTr
Hindi na mandatory ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa lahat ng pampublikong transportasyon sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Alert Level 1, 2, at 3, ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Kasunod ito ng pag-apruba ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
Sa memorandum mula kay Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea na may petsang November 15, 2021 ukol sa protocols sa paggamit ng face shield, ipinagbigay-alam sa chairpersons at miyembro ng task force na inaprubahan ng pangulo ang rekomendasyon sa Resolution No. 148-D (s. 2021) na inilabas noong November 11, 2021.
Dahil dito, ipatutupad ng DOTr at mga kaakibat na ahensya ang mga sumusunod na alituntun sa pampublikong transportasyon:
1. Kailangan ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa mga lugar na nasa Alert Level 5 at granular lockdowns.
2. Binibigyang pagpapasya ang mga lokal na pamahalaan at pribadong establisimyento na gawing mandato ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa mga lugar sa ilalim ng Alert Level 4.
3. Magiging boluntaryo naman ang paggamit ng face shield sa mga lugar sa Alert Levels 3, 2 at 1.
Inihayag naman ni DOTr representative to the IATF-EID at Undersecretary for Administrative Services Artemio Tuazon Jr. na agad ipatutupad ng kagawaran ang mga nabanggit na panuntunan sa paggamit ng face shield.
Sa kabila ng pag-aalis ng requirement sa pagsusuot ng face shield, ipinaalala pa rin sa publiko ang mahigpit na pagsunod sa health protocols upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa lahat ng public transport facilities.
