Sen. Lacson hinanap ang koneksyon ng P5B halaga ng kalsada sa COVID 19 response
Kinuwestiyon ni Senator Panfilo Lacson ang paggamit ng P5 bilyon pondo para sa COVID 19 response sa pagpapatayo ng farm-to-market road projects ng Department of Agriculture (DA).
Hindi naiwasan ni Lacson na kuwestiyonin ang isyu kay Sen. Cynthia Villar, ang sponsor ng 2022 budget ng DA.
“We noticed releases under Bayanihan 2 focused on farm-to-market roads worth P5 billion. Can you explain the connection between these farm-to-market road releases and the government’s Covid response? Parang hindi ko ma-connect,” sabi ni Lacson sa paghimay niya sa pondo ng DA.
Kasabay nito, inusisa din ni Lacson ang 17 porsiyentong pagtaas ng pondo para sa Agri- Equipment, Facilities, and Infrastructure program mula P11.3 billion sa P13.32 billion ng DA na nagpataas sa pondo para sa pagpapagawa ng farm-to-market roads mula P4.98 billion sa ilalim National Expenditure Program hanggang P6.95 billion, na nasa bersyon naman ng 2022 General Appropriations Act ng Kamara.
Itinanggi na ng DA na may kinalaman sila sa mga nabanggit na proyekto.
Pagpupunto ni Lacson regular na problema na lamang taon-taon ng ilang ahensya na dinadagdagan ang kanilang pondo na hindi na sila napapagsabihan ukol sa paggagamitan.
