Road projects patungo sa tourist spots sa Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte tapos na

Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang dalawang kalsada upang magkaoorn ng mas maayos na access sa tourist destinations sa Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte.

Isa sa mga natapos ang P9.6-million tourism road patungo sa Southern Leyte Bird Sanctuary at Mangrove Area.

Tapos na rin ang P9.8-million access road papunta naman sa Guinsaugon Lake, isa sa mga pinakakilalang destinasyon sa Eastern Visayas.

Isinagawa ng DPWH Southern-Leyte District Engineering Office (DPWH-SLDEO) ang mga nabanggit na proyekto.

“The newly paved roads are expected to not only bring more tourists in the area, but also to make it easier for the DENR and local government units to visit the bird sanctuary in an effort to preserve the migratory birds’ natural habitats,” saad ni DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado.

Bahagi ang konstruksyon ng tourism access roads sa zero to 10-point economic strategy ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
