Pag-isyu ng driver’s license na may 10 taong validity, sisimulan sa Dec. 2021

Simula sa buwan ng Disyembre sa taong 2021, mag-iisyu na ang lahat ng tanggapan ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ng driver’s license na mayroong 10 taong validity.

Pahayag ito ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang Talk to the People, Martes ng gabi (November 2).

Nabatid na simula noong October 28, nagsimula na ang LTO main office sa East Avenue, Quezon City na mag-isyu ng driver’s license na mayroong 10-year validity.

“I am pleased to announce that the LTO’s licensing offices in the East Avenue have started the issuance of the driver’s license with a 10-year validity on October 28, 2021. Ang lisensiya ng ating mga — sa driving sa lahat is good for 10 years, wala nang renewal-renewal na madalian. You have 10 years to drive. Baka hindi mo maubos ‘yang period na ‘yan sa… Ten years is a — it’s a long haul,” pahayag ng Pangulo.

Ayon sa Pangulo, magsisimula ang LTO offices sa Metro Manila na mag-isyu ng driver’s license sa buwan ng Nobyembre na mayroong 10-year validity at susundan ito sa iba’t ibang rehiyon.

“The rest of the offices in the NCR shall start issuance of the same in November 2021 to be followed by all other regions progressively. By December 2021, the LTO commits that all its offices nationwide will be issuing licenses with a 10-year validity,” pahayag ng Pangulo

Sa ilalim ng Republic Act 10930 na nilagdaan ni Pangulong Duterte noong 2017, sinumang mayroong driver’s license, non-professional man o professional, na walang traffic violation sa nakalipas na limang taon ay maaring pagkalooban ng lisensya na mayroong 10 taong validity period.
