Expanded Puerto Princesa Port sa Palawan, nakatakdang pasinayaan

Nakatakdang pangunahan nina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kasama sina Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade at Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Authority General Manager Jay Santiago, ang inagurasyon ng expansion project sa Puerto Princesa Port sa Palawan sa Huwebes, November 4.

Sa naturang proyekto, nakumpleto ang konstruksyon ng karagdagang back-up area sa pantalan noong July 20, 2021.

Makatutulong ang proyekto upang mas maging produktibo sa pantalan, partikular na sa koneksyon sa Metro Manila.

Sa nakalipas na limang taon, sumailalim na rin ang Puerto Princesa port sa ilang development projects para matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga gumagamit ng pantalan, na nagsisilbing ‘primary maritime gateway’ para sa komersiyo, kalakalan at turismo.

Bahagi ang naturang proyekto ng 472 commercial at social-tourism projects na nakumpleto ng DOTr at PPA sa bansa simula nang maupo ang administrasyong Duterte taong 2016.

Sa Palawan pa lamang, 13 seaport projects ang natapos, kabilang ang Ports of Culion at Coron.
