Hirit ni Sen. de Lima na imbestigasyon sa BENECO take-over pinaboran
Hiniling ni Senator Leila de Lima na maimbestigahan sa Senado ang nangyaring take-over sa Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) ng National Electrification Administration (NEA) sa tulong ng mga pulis.
Nais malaman ni de Lima sa paghahain niya ng Senate Resolution No. 937 kung na-aayon sa batas ang paggamit ng puwersa sa take-over sa kooperatiba.

Sinuportahan naman ni Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian ang nais ni de Lima sa katuwiran na kailangan ay matiyak na hindi maaapektuhan ang operasyon ng kooperatiba at ang suplay ng kuryente sa Baguio City.
Aniya hindi maiaalis sa mga konsyumer ang mangamba sa epekto ng takeover sa suplay ng kuryente sa lungsod.
“Ang inaalala namin ay ang katatagan ng suplay ng kuryente sa nasasakupan nito. Ang Baguio ay isang urbanisadong siyudad at ayaw namin na makaranas ang mga taga Baguio ng brownouts dahil sa ganitong gulo,” sabi ng senador.
