Tablet sa bawat estudyante isinusulong sa Kamara ni Rep. Loren Legarda

Inihain sa Mababang Kapulungan ni Antique Representative Loren Legarda ang isang panukala na layon mabigyan ng tig-isang table ang bawat estudyante.

 

Sa House Bill No. 10405 o ang One Tablet, One Student Act of 2021 sasakupin ang lahat ng mga estudyante sa public elementary at high schools, gayundin ang mga nas State Colleges and Universities (SUCs).

 

Hinihinakayat niya na maisama sa isinusulong sa 2022 national budget ang ipambibili ng mga tablets para makaagapay ang mga estudyante sa online learning system.

 

Ibinahagi niya na sa kanyang distrito sa Antique, may 30,194 estudyante mula kinder hanggang senior high school ang walang tablet o smartphones kayat nahihirapan silang makasunod sa flexible learning system.

 

Base naman aniya sa pagtataya ng DepEd, nangangailangan ng P154 bilyong pondo kada taon ang tatlo hanggang anim na taong computerization program ng sistemang pang-edukasyon sa bansa.

 

Ngayon taon, may 27 milyong elementary at high school students ang nag-enroll, samantalang 1.6 milyon naman sa SUCs, bukod pa aniya sa mga guro na nangailangan din ng mga naturang gamit.

 

“While the proposed allocation is staggering, making sure that our students each have access to resources that would help them cope with changes in our educational system is needed for us to ensure that, despite the restrictions in the traditional modalities of classes, our students will still receive the kind of quality education that they deserve,” sabi pa nito.
