P15.64-M halaga ng shabu na isinilid sa mga damit, nasabat

Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA (BOC-NAIA) ang 2,300 gramo ng methamphetamine o shabu na nagkakahalaga ng P15.64 milyon mula sa dalawang shipment na ipinadala sa Fedex warehouse, araw ng Martes (October 19).

Katuwang ng BOC-NAIA sa operasyon ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), at NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA IADITG).

Nagmula ang dalawang kargamento sa Malaysia at unang idineklara bilang ‘clothing’ at ‘cloth’.

Ngunit, matapos isailalim sa 100 porsyentong physical examination, nadiskubre sa kargamento ang shabu na nakatago sa mga damit at tela.

Agad dinala ang nasabat na ilegal na droga sa PDEA para sa case profiling at build up laban sa mga indibidwal na responsable sa posibleng paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165) na may kinalaman sa Section 119 (Restricted Importation) and Section 1401 (Unlawful Importation) ng Republic Act No. 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

Noong October 13, nai-turnover ng Port of NAIA sa PDEA ang P6.570 milyong halaga ng nasamsam ng ecstasy party drugs, maliban pa sa iba pang ilegal na droga na nakuha sa taong 2021.
