Standard health facilities sa tourist spots inihirit ni Sen. Grace Poe
Sinabi ni Senator Grace Poe na dapat ay tiyakin ng Deparment of Tourism (DOT) na may standard healthcare facility sa mga lugar na madalas bisitahin ng mga turista.
Katuwiran ni Poe sa ganitong paraan ay mararamdaman ng mga turista na ligtas ang kanilang pagbiyahe.
“In all areas in our country, ideally, there should really be basic health facilities that can address the needs of the people. We’ve heard stories of tourists going to certain areas where the local health center is not equipped to treat certain emergency situations,” dagdag pa ni Poe.
Nabatid na bago ang pandemya, P2.5 trilyon ang naiaambag ng industriya ng turismo sa ekonomiya ng bansa at ito ay bumaba sa P973.3 bilyon o 91 porsiyento na kabawasan hanggang sa pagtatapos ng 2020.
Base sa datos mula sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), aabots sa P3.14 trilyon ang ginagasta ng mga Filipino sa pagtungo sa mga tourist destinations sa bansa at ito ay bumagsak din sa P556.89 bilyon noong nakaraang taon dahil sa pandemya.
Ayon pa kay Poe ngayon padami nang padami ang mga Filipino na nababakunahan asahan na ang unti-unting pagsigla ng turismo sa bansa kayat nararapat lang na makaramdam sila ng kumpiyansa at kaligtasan sa kanilang pagbiyahe.
