MMDA, nagbigay ng libreng flu vaccine sa kanilang mga empleyado na senior citizen

Nakatanggap ng libreng flu vaccine ang halos 700 permanent, casual, at job order senior citizen employees ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Layon nitong magbigay ng dagdag proteksyon mula sa respiratory diseases at COVID-19.

Mula sa Department of Health (DOH) ang mga bakunang itinurok sa mga empleyado.

Ayon kay MMDA Chairman Attorney Benhur Abalos, mahalagang makakuha ng flu vaccine upang maprotektahan ang vulnerable group mula sa pagkakasakit.

“Our employees’ health and welfare are our priority. Through this vaccination drive, we can further boost the immunity of our elderly employees, especially those who are working in the field, which makes them more exposed to viruses,” pahayag ni Abalos.

Kasama sa trivalent flu shots ang tatlong influenza strains; dalawang influenza A strains o H1N1 at H3N2, at influenza B.

Noong buwan ng Abril, sinimulan ng ahensya ang pagbibigay ng COVID-19 vaccine sa kanilang mga empleyado na senior citizen.

Muli namang hinikayat ni Abalos ang mga empleyado ng MMDA na sundin ang minimum health standards.
