COVID-19 false positive results ng Philippine Red Cross pinabubusisi ni Pangulong Duterte sa DOH

Pinaiimbestigahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Department of Health (DOH) ang umano’y COVID-19 false positive testing results ng Philippine Red Cross.

Ayon sa Pangulo, nakatanggap kasi siya ng mga sumbong mula sa mga empleyado sa gobyerno na nag-positibos a swab test sa Red Cross pero negatibo naman sa confirmatory tests.

“Because of this information, then maybe the DOH must investigate this matter. You could be putting more people at risk. You could be falsely adding to the total positive cases per day of this country. Ilan ‘yung nadagdag doon sa positive sa isang araw, daily attack, na negative? Nasali na doon sa numero na napakarami na ang nagkasakit. How sure are we now in our figures in the veracity and truthfulness of the test combined eh marami man rin nagpunta diyan sa Red Cross? How do you backtrack? If it is impossible, what do you intend to do?” ayon sa Pangulo.

Inihalimbawa ng Pangulo ang Presidential Security Group na 187 sa 213 o 87.79 percent na nagpa-swab test ang nag-positibo sa Red Cross Manila Laboratory pero negatibo naman sa confirmatory test.

Maging ang Department of Finance din aniya ay nagkaroon ng 13 false positive.

“After testing, the individuals decided to take a second confirmatory PCR test within 24 hours. All the individuals tested negative for COVID-19 after taking the confirmatory test. Two individuals decided to take a third confirmatory test, the third test also came out negative for COVID-19. As such, we have concluded that the positive results received from the first RT-PCR swab test in the Philippine Red Cross may be classified as false positive,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
